Repurpose Packaging Redesign
client: Repurpose INC
role: designer, art direction
In 2021, I was approached by Repurpose Inc., a female-founded company committed to eliminating plastic products, to serve as a freelance packaging designer. My role involved redesigning their existing product line as well as creating packaging for new products set to launch at Whole Foods and Costco.
Working closely with their team, I focused on updating the packaging to stand out in a crowded marketplace, ensuring it captured attention on the shelf. Additionally, I emphasized an improved user experience, crafting designs that communicated the brand's eco-friendly mission while simplifying choices for busy shoppers. The result was a fresh, modern look that aligned with Repurpose Inc.’s values and resonated with their target audience.
Beyond packaging design, I also led the art direction for product photography to ensure visual consistency across all marketing channels. Collaborating with photographers and stylists, I worked to create clean, vibrant imagery that highlighted the products’ sustainability while also evoking a lifestyle that would appeal to conscious consumers. This involved curating compositions, selecting complementary props, and ensuring the lighting and angles best showcased the product details, creating a cohesive visual story that worked seamlessly across print, digital, and in-store displays.
